Hello and welcome! My name is Vanessa and my pronouns are she/her/hers. I am the self appointed director of food and fun, I am short and silly, a lover of animals, travel, and food. I love connecting with people, petting all the dogs, snuggling all the cats, and of course movement of many forms.

Yoga came into my life during high school over 20 years ago (I realize I just dated myself). By some stroke of luck my physical education 20 teacher decided that in order for the students to establish a healthy lifestyle it meant teaching them more than how to dodge a ball or run 400 meters. It was a moment of clarity. Realizing that there was more than one way to move my body it took me on a journey that has spanned 2 full decades.

I took my first 200HR teacher training in Bali with Kate Gillespie and Matt Phippin in 2017 and not to be dramatic but it changed the entire direction of my life. I am always looking to learn and grow in my own personal practice which lead me to Pilates. In 2023 I started my Pilates certification. I am currently certified in Reformer and Mat Pilates with Balanced Body and well on my way to a full 500 hour comprehensive with Club Pilates.

I love bringing together the deep roots and tradition of yoga with modern movement inspiration of Pilates.
